Heartland Stars is a sweet, heartwarming, inspirational romance。 Meg is lonely。 Farris is in a tough place。 Preston plays matchmaker。 I love how, while standing alone, these characters overlap from one book to the next。 I love the small town and neighbors watching out for each other。 Ms。 Gussman has given us another well written romance that will tug at your heartstrings。 Clear enough time before you start to read as you will not want to put this one down!

Putting others first Such down to earth characters, real life, open communication, family, ranch life, hard work, and so much more in this clean story of past hard trials, and future of hope and love。I admit, I was a little disappointed in Candace and Esther at the family meeting - so imagine how happy I was with the next day early morning phone call from Candace! You need to grab this book, NOW!

Really Great SeriesI'm really enjoying this series and getting to know all the characters。 I've totally enjoyed the McCartey sisters。 I loved Meg and Ferris's story。 These two are so good for each other。 A captivating read that I read straight through。 I so enjoy Jessie Gussman's christain books and this one didn't disappoint。 I look forward to more books in the series。 Really Great SeriesI'm really enjoying this series and getting to know all the characters。 I've totally enjoyed the McCartey sisters。 I loved Meg and Ferris's story。 These two are so good for each other。 A captivating read that I read straight through。 I so enjoy Jessie Gussman's christain books and this one didn't disappoint。 I look forward to more books in the series。 。。。more

Jessie’s done it again with a sweet marriage of convenience love story that’s realistic and full of all the feels。 Ferris and Meg have recently felt the sting of loss in one way or another, but maybe Preston’s suggestion is the answer to their problems。 And maybe it may be the path to more。 I loved this book。 I was given an ARC courtesy of the author without obligation。

Convenient connection Oh my goodness! Meg deserved to find the best man, and she certainly did。 Ferris is a hero in every sense of the word。 He’s a manly man who has been shaken to his core。 This book is sweet and fun yet very serious with a deep storyline。 I highly recommend this book and this series to anyone who loves a good romance。
Rhonda Sledge,
I absolutely love this book by Jessie Gussman! It's another great addition to this series, this time focusing on Meg who is the last sister left on the farm。 Seeing the happiness that marriage brings to her sisters, Megs longs for a family of her own。 Though she chooses an unorthodox method of building her family, I loved the way she and Ferris took time to build their relationship。 I absolutely love this book by Jessie Gussman! Once again Jessie has written a beautiful tale, this one of two people relying on God to make their decisions and learning how to love one another in a such a sweet and considerate way。 Such a great story, that anyone in the family could read。 A standalone book although part of a series, no cliff-hangers, introduces new characters for the next instalment of the series。 *I received an ARC copy for a voluntary and honest review。

Meg is feeling somewhat left behind after her sisters both got married and moved off the family farm - but even loneliness can't explain her considering saying yes to an online message from a man she's never met。 Ferris lost his parents and one sister, then his wife died of cancer, leaving him with four young kids, and now the government has taken his farm away to build an airfield。 When Preston, a mutual friend, suggests that maybe a marriage of convenience would solve both their problems, both Meg is feeling somewhat left behind after her sisters both got married and moved off the family farm - but even loneliness can't explain her considering saying yes to an online message from a man she's never met。 Ferris lost his parents and one sister, then his wife died of cancer, leaving him with four young kids, and now the government has taken his farm away to build an airfield。 When Preston, a mutual friend, suggests that maybe a marriage of convenience would solve both their problems, both decide to step out in faith。 But can their marriage turn into something more than just convenience? It's not love at first sight, and that's good。 It is initial interest and even attraction that grows into respect, admiration and burgeoning love - and that's even better。 I loved the way that they noticed and appreciated the small (and not so small) things about each other's characters and actions rather than focussing on looks or other physical attributes。 While the book doesn't cover a very long period, and therefore there isn't much long-term relationship development, it was a delightful glimpse into the start of a marriage that feels like it's built on a foundation that will last。 I also appreciated the meeting between the two characters who I assume will be the main characters in the next book。。。 All in all, an enjoyable, well written and at times thought-provoking but relatively light read。 Note that while many characters are common across books in the series, each book can be read on its own。Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author。 I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book。 。。。more

A marriage of convenience, but not quite。 Meg agreed to marry Ferris, a father alone with four children。 Wife deceased and his farm has been sold from under him。 This is #7 in a standalone series。 Each has been enjoyable but this is my favorite so far。 I highly recommend this story and look forward to the next in this series。

Jessie has done it again。 Tears and a full heart。 I am not a religious person, but her books completely grab me, heart and soul。 Her books show love isntlwys roses and candy。 It comes in many shapes and sizes。 We fall in love through time and effort, it’s not always easy, but it’s worth it。 The ending brought me joy, just the possibility of what is to come。 I received an arc of this book and my review is being given honestly and voluntarily。
